About
Hi! Welcome to fairy diaries ⋆˙⟡. It’s a pleasure to have you here.
Who I am
I’m Anne—a thirty-something content professional who’s a little too curious and rambly for her own good. I’m passionate about writing, learning new things, and nurturing my inner child, and this blog is the lovechild of all that.
Why fairy diaries? I’ve always had an affinity with fairies, and I’d like to think that I’m fae in my past life. Something about nature and whimsical things draws me in. Fairies are also the embodiment of mi niña interior: curious and carefree; sometimes mischievous, always nature-oriented.
What to expect
This is where I document my notes, thoughts, and reflections on the natural world. This blog isn’t meant to be a guide or a scientific log. Instead, it’s a personal record of things I notice, observe, hear, read, or learn. It’s a safe space where I can dump my musings on anything nature-related.
Some entries may be in the tradition of a naturalist’s notebook—a way for me to marry my love for journaling, mindfulness, art, and, of course, the natural sciences. You can expect photos, audio recordings, and sketches of my adventures. Meanwhile, other entries will just be me… yapping.
This site is primarily in English, but I might also write in Tagalog or Spanish, depending on my mood.
An important caveat: As with my other writing projects, I’m writing mostly for myself, not for the readers. Any reference to “you” is just me talking to a hypothetical reader. I’m weird that way.
Notes on this site
I built fairy diaries with a vision in mind. Visually, I wanted it to look like a digital diary—a microblog reminiscent of Tumblr’s early days. I scoured the Internet for hours, but I couldn’t find a template for a similar page anywhere, so I decided to vibecode it instead.
Each post is dated and jumps immediately to the next one—no need to click on an article title to read the rest of the text. Everything is all laid out on the page, and you just have to scroll without the algorithm dictating what appears on your feed. Post titles are removed intentionally to maintain that sense of continuity. Lastly, I’ve added tags and an archive for easy navigation.
It’s still a work in progress, and the design and functionality may change as I refine things further.
While I used AI to set up this site (I simply don’t have the coding skills for it), generative AI is not involved in my writing process. I do have the Grammarly extension activated to catch minor mistakes, but that’s about it. I strongly believe AI has no place in art, and I’d rather have imperfect entries and clunky sentences than “perfect” yet soulless paragraphs.
Where else to find me
I blog about languages and writing on anne muses. If you happen to know Spanish, you can check out my past work on Substack.
